just got my mystery box

There’s already so many of these throws popping up on the b/s/t. The value is going to drop even lower than it already had. I just don’t see why anyone would want to spend $45 on one of those boxes. I would much rather keep the $45 and add another $10 or $15 and get a MIB Irony JP or MIB Chik! or anything along those lines on the b/s/t. There’s just waaaay too many good deals on the b/s/t’s to be wasting money on Chinese made yoyo’s that are one in a million. Different strokes, different folks I guess. For any of you that didn’t get the box you wanted, just save $10 and I’m sure in a few days you’ll be able to buy a mint genesis or equilateral on the b/s/t’s. Sometimes I wish that I could get behind American companies outsourcing their products to China. I just can’t, for the life of me, knowingly support China’s economy

So who got the ricochet?

Very nice unboxing Erik, because you did everything quickly, but thoroughly.  I’m thinking about that Ricochet, that a lot of people purchased these boxes as Christmas gifts.  So, they might not open the box right away, and just wrap it, to be opened on Christmas day.  We may not know who has it until then.  But, that person may not be on forums or social media.  There is a chance we will never know.  :-\  In my opinion, you got the best of the options in that box.

I usually open those YYF boxes from the bottom to get the yo-yo out.  I find that easier, and better to keep the box intact.  I only open from the top to take out the extras.  It’s harder to get the yo-yo all the way to the top without ripping the box.

3. Get frustrated.

4. Go all “Hulk Smash!” and just savagely tear the box in half, sending the yoyo flying through the air.

5. Smile as I examine my shiny new toy.

Happens the same way every time…

That happened to me so many times too. Now I just pop the flaps on the bottom, slide it right out, then open the top to get the string/multitool or whatever extras. I’ve been able to save a few boxes nowadays.

I got mine yesterday and I got the Hubstacked Genesis Black, Roll Model, and Shaqler Star.
The Genesis came with a Multi Tool, extra pads and extra bearing.
So i got one of the 1 in 10 ones worth over $200. Can’t complain at all considering i was planning on getting a genesis.
All this bringing my total number of throws or “TNT” to 16.

I’ve opened every YYF box from the top and gotten all 7 of my yoyos out without messing up the boxes ;D I guess I’m just that good haha

This is why I got one. I’ve been using a velocity and it’s been fun, but this was the perfect opportunity to branch out. Between my velocity and now receiving a genesis and shaqlerstar, I have 3 dramatically different yoyos covering classic shapes, H shapes, and V shapes. Not too mention that I’ll be able to try out more variety of trick types thanks to the different features on these throws. For about 50 bucks shipped, it’s really hard to complain, even if it turns out I don’t prefer one or another feature or shape, or whatever. And hey, first high end metal throw for this price. Yeah… that’s just sweet.
