Yeah, you’re right. The color looks completely different in the two photos you just posted. Not that I’m surprised since I’m well aware of how lighting conditions and camera settings (to the extent that anyone fiddles with them anymore these days) all play a role in this.
What’s all that clear goop on the yoyo? It came like that?

Word. What’s with all that? Am I doing something wrong when I silicone because I try to get the silicone in the groove only.

This is my preferred method. When dry, the outer ring peels up super easy. Looks like crap in picture but it’ll come out perfect when done.
You ought to put a topic about that in the #yo-yo-modification-and-maintenance category, it’s a very interesting unconventional technique and I’d like to hear more about it and see pics of it being pulled up.
