No seriously, this is semi joke question, but that trick where you unscrew half the yoyo mid spin, is there any feasable way to bind it? I kinda had it bind on my thumb on a thumb grind

I’ve seen that video before. Very cool. I just realized that you can see the string is doubled on the bearing, which makes perfect sense.

If you think about what a bind is really doing it all makes sense. The bind is just introducing more friction into the gap of the yoyo so the response can take over. You don’t need a second half of the yoyo to introduce friction, but I imagine they’d be slippery binds without the other half.
