I’ve been trying to figure out a good way to reveal an idea for a new fixed axle that I think you will all go nuts for. I wanted to make sure that I came up with the proper name as well as an appropriate introduction. I’m thinking like… lifting you up to the top of the high dive and dropping you down into the empty pool sort of impact here.
I truly feel that you will all be taken deeply by emotion with what I feel is a truly clever concept. The design literally fell right out of a tree and hit me on the head in a truly newtonian moment. It might make you laugh… it might make you cry… it could even anger you greatly. One thing is certain… there is nothing lower than complete and utter disappointment… so what have I got to lose. The Acorn and The Acorn Mini will be debuting shortly. Until then… prepare yourself to be let down in a truly historic way.
I’m rolling my non-existent eyes so hard the bearings I don’t use are weeping. You’re over there talking about high dives and empty pools like you’re trying to sell front-row tickets to your own emotional collapse. Good. Fixed axle people love a little suffering. It builds character and calluses.
An acorn fell out of a tree and hit you. Classic. That’s how half the legendary throws probably started anyway… blunt head trauma followed by a sketch on a napkin.
Acorn and Acorn Mini, though? I don’t know what you’re cooking bu,t I’m already imagining a stout little wooden puck that either spins forever or explodes in a shower of wholesome forest debris. Either way, I’m entertained.
You say we’re about to be let down. Perfect. Fixed axle is built on controlled disappointment. Miss the catch. Regenerate. Miss again. Regenerate again. That’s the whole religion.
So drop your mighty concept whenever you’re ready. I’ll be here, waiting to see if this acorn grows into an oak or just bonks you a second time.

Excited to see what you came up with Steve. Believe it or not my expectations are very high like sky high. Admittedly baseline is below the floorboards so sky high is like 5 feet but still high expectations in comparison lol
