Introduce Yourself!

Hey I’m Hau and have a white grindmachine with flowable silicon, like atomic bomb as my fav. trick so trade with me

hello new here, i just here to say hello…

… hello

hello

hi there

Introduce myself!??!  Where do I begin?!

I like doing things.  These are some things I do, in the order that they come to mind:

  • inline skate
  • model rocketry
  • video games and video game modding/scripting
  • custom build PC’s
  • play guitar, keys, make music etc.
  • trampoline
  • engineering (usually only at work or school, I specify in the mechanical field…)
  • target rifle and archery
  • hiking and camping
  • probably a bunch of other things i’m forgetting
  • and obviously… yoyo.

I yoyo'd with a YOMEGA Firestorm throughout the 5th grade (1999) which gave me a few months of throwing experience and the fundamental basics of string tricks like the brain twister and split the atom (which was about all I could do with a Firestorm, which is a transaxle yoyo with a really narrow gap).  After 5th grade ended yoyoing dropped off the popular toy spectrum so I moved on to other things for a while...

Something like 12 years later my sister gave me a junky plastic Duncan butterfly yoyo she picked up at a dollar store or something.  After throwing it a couple times it revived my interest in the art of yoyoing so I did a little research on Youtube and witnessed the AMAZING yoyoing that people are doing these days!  Very shortly after seeing some of Jensen Kimmit’s videos I found this website.  THANK YOU FOR EXISTING ANDRE, AND YOYOEXPERT.COM.  Immediately I whipped out my old Firestorm and started repeating the tricks I still had programmed into my muscle memory from so long ago…

A couple weeks later I went straight for the money and bought a DV888 (cheapest all metal I could find with good reviews!) and spent about 2 weeks figuring out how to bind return and throw a good trapeze.

Since then it has been something like 2 months, and I’m working on tricks like Shockwave and Jade Whip (dang magic drop is killing me…), jumping around a little in the ‘learn’ section of this website and experimenting with creating my own tricks and styles.  I scratched up my DV888 after throwing it into the floor a few times and using it a lot, so my Dad bought me a SPYY Stryker for my birthday (2 days ago).

So that’s where I’m at now, my goal is to be able to play totally freestyle and to not think about what I’m doing so much as how I’m doing it.  Thanks again yoyoextpert, and to all you people who contribute to this community.  Yoyoing is awesome and I will never put it down for so long ever again…

Now maybe I should read some of your introductions after writing such a lengthy one!

Cheers, Ben Kowalewski aka, Svenski svenge@rocketmail.com

Hey, my name is Keith. I use to yo a lot when I was in high school more than a decade ago, but considering how much the sport has progressed, I think all that play is obsolete now. So I’ll say I was a born again yoyo virgin when I started playing a couple months ago. I started with the Kickside, and have since upgraded to the Dark Magic, followed by the Gnarwhal and a Y-factor. I don’t remember it being this fun in my younger days. It’s come a long way since my first yoyo as a kid, which was wooden SpitFire that I still have.

hi, ive avtually been on here for awhile, a few months, i wont post my whole yoyoing story yet, but i just wanted to post here i will again though

Hi Im Daniel be yoyoing on and off for several years currently working my way through intermediate tricks almost finished trying to learn a new trick everyday going keep yoyoing and hopefully getting a dark magic and protostar soon

I’ve actually been here for like 2 days, mainly in chat, so I thought I might as well introduce myself properly. I’m ExAzrael or Logan whatever you’d prefer to call me. 18 years old and I live in Southern California, US. I used to yo yo when I was younger (about 8 years ago) but the best trick I could was probably like brain twister… about 3 weeks ago I started up again and am having a blast!
other than yo-yoing I like to read, talk economics with people (yeah, I seriously find that fun), pen spinning, and balisong. I’m a pretty nice guy and I’m sure ill have a great time here!
thanks for your time!
Logan
