I started yoyoing about 4-5 years ago with a yotech but never really got the hang of it. Last week I brought a yomega fireball and came across this great site to learn how to do it properly, only to find out I had the wrong type of yoyo for what I was wanting to do. So I brought a dark magic, which only took 5days to get to me in New Zealand (very happy about that ;D) Have been practicing non-stop since I received it today.
the DM is a good choice. Once mine broke in it became my all time favorite.
I’m thinking of getting another one just because it’s so cool. Also some more string and thin lube for it.

hi my name is owen and i am 10 years old. I am currently working on brent stole and am getting an 888x very soon. I have a g5 and superstar as my best yoyos. today i recieved a fhz and hayabusa because i am getting into offstring. so far i can do barrel rolls, sun, brain twister mount, and am working on whip catch.

Hi guys. Kinda been a bit boring at the Spinworkx Forum(somewhat at the yoyo section) so i decided to take a look here. Wonder what nice stuff would I see here…
I’m a new member here, but not really that new to yo-yoing…maybe new to this generation. I began throwing back in 1996 (Fifth grade) when the best yo-yo you can easily get was a fireball. I lived off of Duncan Imperials and pretty much mastered all of the basic tricks back then. I even started the fad at my school. First it was considered ‘nerdy’ but then it was cool because everyone was doing it (There were still a few jerks). I yo’d up until after the boom phased out (pretty much when I entered high school). I lightweight began messing around in 2004 when a small boom occured (Fast 201s in Walmart along with Freehands and Beetles). I recently got back into it (2009) when my parents bought me an imperial as a gag gift for my birthday. So about a 10-year gap and a boatload of new tricks to learn and new styles of play to pick up on.
My current yo-yos are: Pocket Pros Zombie (I love this thing by the way), Freehand 2010 model, Mosquito (with extra weight) Several imperials from childhood, Raider, Limelight (Wood axle Duncan Pulse/Beetle), Classic Brain, and a few Fireballs. I’m sure I have more but are up in the attic (like my old Duncan professional, Neo, and Midnight Specials…I miss these things!)

My name is Milda. I’m from Lithuania. I started about 1 year ago with yomega fireball for fun. I quit, About year ago(2010 May) I bought YYJ Legacy and I enjoyed of yoyoing so now I’m yoyoing about 3 months and I got PGM2 today. I have a lot of fav tricks now i’m learning The Matrix :).
Welcome to the forums, and as a PGM owner let me just add that one of my personal favorite throws is the PGM with the plastic nubs on. You won’t believe how smooth it is with those on it. (Though the stacks are nice too.)
Hey guys, my name is Peter and I live in Bulgaria (Sofia).
My favourite throws are Superstar and Skyline. I actually don’t have a favourite trick, but i like doing Reverse Brent Stole and a Front Style of mine. I first started yo-yoing on 16th of December 2009. I beagan yo-yoing beacause I saw a friend of mine doing some tricks with a modded lyn fury (though his best trick was Double or Nothing…). In a week or two I bought my first yo-yo ! It was a green stacked PGM. In two days i began doing things like Split The atom. Then in like 2 weeks I bought an Atmosphere. With it I continued to like Expert 1 or 2. I decided it was time for my first metal so I bought a DV888. With it I went trough all the Master level tricks. 3 or 4 months later I bought a Skyline. With it I went to my first contest. I finished 2nd on Junior and won a Protostar (which is just amazing for it’s low price). Now in like 1-2 days I’ll buy a Superstar. I was wondering alot what i should get,(I was wondering between DNA, Superstar, MVP and Primo) but finnaly i desided to get a Superstar.
