Introduce Yourself!

Wellcome to you all
I hope you can make good friend here, and had such a great time.

My name is grindermonkey.

I am new to this blog and to the yoyo community. I bought a legacy thinking that it would be a good entry level device but it will not respond at all. I can do the bind but a normal tug bind appears beyond the abilities of this yoyo at least in my hands. The only trick that I am proficient at is manually winding the string.

On the adjustomatic yoyo which was recommended to me. What do the screws on either side of the adjustment know do? Do you have to loosen them to adjust the yoyo or are they a one time assembly item? Can you adjust on the ā€œflyā€ or do you have to stop and adjust it?

Or should I just find something else altogether to do?

The legacy is an unresponsive (it’s supposed to not come back) yoyo and not really for beggeners. I’d hang on to the legacy, pick up something like a lyn fury, and then, once you get better, try going back to the legacy and binding.

Hello, I’m new on here. Been throwing for about two months and I yoyo with pride! I don’t really have much to say. Haha.

WOOOHOOOO

Hey, i love joker and iron man. Ive been yoyoing for about 3 and a half years. Started in 6th grade with the N.E.D. Yoyos and i did many tricks like rock the baby and barely trapeze. But then i went to high school and i met another yoyoer. He was a lot better doing string tricks with his mavrick. So i decided to get a better yoyo and so i checked out the dark magic. It was amazing untill it cracked. So i got a metal yoyo, DNA. I can now do many master and expert tricks. And my friend with the mavrick seems like a begginer now.

i got the joker part out of your name, i’m still working on extracting the iron man though lol. Welcom man.

Hello! I always have ordered my things from yoyoexpert.com, but i have never signned up a account. well now that I have… awesome! haha. Any way, my favorite trick = MATRIX~~~

I don’t think there is a Iron Man part. I got this out of it:
J0k32r=joker r0x=rocks

never would of got that, why doesn’t he just put joker rox?

IDk Some people like to replace letters with letters for fun. AKA leet/1337

I’m Ricky, and recently I have picked up yoyos which is unfortunate to my wallet HAHA

yes, yoyoing has it’s expenses, but if it hurts your wallet, yo ucan always put the money (what you have left) under you mattress, lol.

Hi,
My name is memorex and i’m from belgium… I started yoyoing last week, I’m really into it,i practice about an hour or 2 a day at least :stuck_out_tongue: . So far i’ve got all the tricks from the basics and intermediate section down. I will keep practicing these until i’ve got em down rather smooth before i will go to the advanced section.
I must say, i would never have gotten as far as i’ve already gotten without yoyoexpert.com and the tutorial videos on here. And people are very helpfull on the forum. I sense this will become one of my favorite internetzz places ;D

Dont’ be afraid to go on to the next section before learning all the trick in the previous section. I learned ladder escape before i even learned boing-e boing-e, but thats just me. And welcome

Yeah, i’m not affraid to try the hard tricks, worst thing that can happen is i get a knot :P.
I just wanted to say i want to perfect all the tricks i know, looks way cooler when they are smooth…
Esspecialy my mach5 & ripcord need some more practice…

true, im starting to learn that a good player can take easy tricks and do them really well, smooth, and with personal flair and make them epic.
