yeah i would no start off with a dark magic. you need somthing that is very resposive. I tried starting with a yoyojam bolt. (doc pop sig. yoyo) and it was a not a good starter yoyo. you should master binding first.

I started yoyoinā when I was little with a duncan, and didnāt even manage a trapeze. Iād never guess that years later I would buy a Dark Magic Yo-Yo and that I would not only land the trapeze, but manage an AND WHUT! (and if I did guess that, I must have been able to see into the future.) I would have never thought that I would be yoyoing off of the string or looping with two yoyos. I also would not have been able to do any of these if not for starting out in your learning sectionā¦ I currently own a speeder, Dark Magic, Hitman, Aquarius, and two sunset trajectories. (my brother owns a kickside). I love this site and its customer serviceā¦ anyways,

Hi everybody! This is Ville-Pekka aka Veepee/V-P from Finland. Iām one of the few Finnish yo-yoers and Iām very proud of it! 
I have been throwing for a year and 2-4 months and currently Iām very adept at 1A, poor at 2A, able to do few 3A tricks, and when it comes to 5Aā¦ I donāt know. I guess Iām a still somewhat beginner. I suck at 4A because I donāt have any OS yo-yos (yet). My favourite yo-yo is Auldey L3 (designed by Luo Yi Cheng aka Takuto).
I consider yo-yoing as one of the most stylish and ācoolā things on Earth. I believe I have reached the limit where there are no āfundamentalā tricks to learn as I can do all the 1A tricks on this and some other sites. The next step is creating your own tricks, of course. Some players that inspire me are Mikhail Tulabut, Ryosuke Iwasawa and Rage from ILYY (I donāt have very many original tricks yet, though). Besides that, Iām trying to spread the word about yo-yoing around, but currently nobody hasnāt been interested. 
Whew, thatās all! My āshortā introduction grew a little longer than I expected but I think thatās ok and itās done anyway.

my bro got a yoyo spintastics comet for christmas and i came to this site in search for a bit of fun as i thought it would be a bit of a laugh to show a few āskillsā to my mates, but what do you know it looks awesome 
ive brought a velocity and i really cannot wait, as even a trapieze is hard to catch on my imperial shaped yoyo:( i just hope its as easy learning curve to learn as it seems to be for a lot of people here.
to think i can do pro tricks in possible a matter of months is awesome!!!

My name is Rebecca. Iām 56 years old. I got into yo-yoing a year and a half ago, but I canāt remember what got me started up on it again. (Since childhood) I find it very relaxing, and the new yo-yos have many possibilities and are so much fun. When I say new, I mean compared to the yo-yo I had in the 1950ās. I would love to learn more tricks. So far I can do Brain Twister and Drop in the Bucket. Now Iām learning Double or Nothing. Andreās free videos teaching all those tricks are amazing treasures. Without them, my greatest accomplishment would be Around the World which I got all excited about being able to do with a Duncan Mosquito summer before last. Iām pretty busy teaching school, so I donāt have a lot of time to practice, but I hope to keep learning. Playing with the counterweights looks like great fun. I have several yo-yos, including the Dark Magic, Trajectory, Kickside, Legacy, Flying Squirrel, and Throw Monkey. I guess Iām kind of collecting them. I bought yo-yos for my 4th graders and I share my own with them also.
Heyyyy. Iām Wolk and started yoyoing about 3 months ago. Iām in the advanced section and my favorite trick I canāt do is Revolutions and my favorite trick I can do is a thumb grind. My top 3 yoyoerās are 1 Andre Boulay 2 Grant Johnson 3 Mickey. I have 3 favorite yoyos the Dark Magic, Sunset Tregectory and Jamboo.

hey guys!! my names dave. im from new jersey. i heard about this place from the forums at yoyonation.com and thought id make an appearance. ive been yoyoing for about a year now and refuse to let go of my yoyo. i had never known that the yoyoing community was so big until last year when i got my first tax refund and decided to buy a yoyo. i went and got a yyf g5 and havent stopped since. i have a few other yoyos but my war torn g5 is still my favorite of all time. i dont know a whole lot of tricks or combos but none the less im learning all the time. theres not a whole lot of throwers in new jersey but im trying to find them. im 21. well happy yoyoing to all!!

Hi, my name is louiz, Iāve been yoyoing for abt 1 year. My first ball bearing yoyo was fast 201, it was like the only yoyo sold in singapore lol. I learnt the basic tricks like brain twister and rock the baby, then just used those tricks and didnāt learn anymore for a year. My friend gave me a vulto saga lol. then I came back to yoyoing when i found my yoyo after that year. Then, I bought a hitman, and i learn learnt all the intermediate tricks on this site, and learnt a few advanced tricks. And i learnt white buhdda! lols i guess thats my story lol ;D
After learning the tricks with a Hitman, its quite easy to do the tricks with cheaper yoyos lol
