Hi,
My name is Baby Valdes. I am new at yo-yo. Thank you for accepting me.
HI Baby and welcome. Have fun with your new sport.
I’m Rob, I haven’t picked up a yo yo for almost 15 years but I have re-mastered all the beginning tricks. And now that I have more Patience hopefully will climb up to the more advanced tricks.
Rob, welcome back to the sport. Sounds like you are progressing well so have fun.
Hi! My name is Giada and I’m Italian. My favorite yoyo is the shutter, while my favourite trick is skin the gerbil. Looking forward to be a part of this community. Bye
Welcome to the forums, you have joined a great community. Hope to see you around on the forums.
;D Another Older age user jumping in, I started back when the Yomega Xbrain was first introduced, I was 10 at the time, went from that to a ball bearing yo-yo of similar shape, for the life of me I cannot remember the name of it but it was bright green/yellow and had an insect on it ( similar to Duncan hornet ), In the past year I’ve gone from the yoyojam classic to the ReplayPro. I also just purchased my 5 year old a brain for him to play with.
glad your back into and getting your kids involved also…
Hey, LTDad! Happy to see another lapsed thrower return to the fold. It is fun when you can share with the children. Have fun.
I was worried to find nothing but 12-18y/o on here as any review i look up on youtube and alot of competitions have way younger kids. I’m only 26 and I feel like an old man with a yoyo Thanks for the welcome too! its crazy when I got my first ball bearing plastic yoyo I paid $30, and now I got this replay pro and its WAAY better for half the price. Times do change.
Hey guys, 26 years on this earth and just now learning how much yoyo tech has advanced over these years. played with a brain and some other yomega beginner levels back in middle school. I have grown to love mechanics, physics, and science in general and the modern yoyo seems to excite many of those curiosities. I like to spin fire poi and have been to a rave or two and see some similarities with those when incorporating blacklights and led with good ole hand-eye coordination. Aaanyways… I look forward to, and thank you all in advance, for future help, trades, information, and good conversation.
I’m about to turn 27 on the 16th of this month. I started yo-yoing about 5-6 months ago. Never to old to yo yo. Your exactly where I was when I started yoyoing. Before you know it, you’ll advance very quickly. Hope to see you around the forums.
26 is a great age to yoyo. Welcome and have fun.
Hi I’m Jim, not a yoyo guy myself, but my dad just died and I found all his stuff from when he competed in the early 1940’s; pic is a teaser…
Perhaps you should pick up where he left off… Maybe?
Sorry about your dad but give it a try and find out why your dad was into yo-yoing. I bet you will have fun.
Hi all just found this site…
Wanted to see if anyone is interested in Vintage Duncan Yoyo’s.
I have inherited approximately 1800 vintage Duncan Yoyo’s.
Research has shown they are from 1984 various colors, I have Pro Spin Olympians, Stingers and more…All are Factory Sealed. I also have the original display posters for them. I would like to sell the entire set, however will be interested in selling some off in smaller bulk. Please respond to my email if interested…I can post pictures of what I have and give more specifics on color, models etc. if interested.
Sounds like an interesting collection. I have a small collection of Duncan Butterfly’s and I really do enjoy them. Welcome to the Forum.
You might want to try the Buy/Sell?Trade area of this forum. this area is mostly for those introducing themselves about getting into yo-yoing .Either way, Try the B/S/T thread you will a lot of people there. And you can always learn to yoyo it is a fun and interesting hobby and sport.
Hi.
I’m a 45 yrs old dad and this summer 2015 we gave our kids some yoyos. They played whit them for a day and lost interest. I tried one to and for some reason i couldn’t put it down again.
I ordered some yoyo’s from the internet. In Sweden there is no yoyo scene what i know of.
Any ways , i ended up buying a few Yoyofactory yoyo’s. ONE, Velocity and Dv888. I played whit them for a month or so and then i orderd Dark magic II and Ed Haponik signature “Play Simply” No Jive . I ordered the no jive after watching a video on Yoyoexpert whit Ed Haponik throwing it around and something happened in me when i was watching that video. It was something whit the way the yoyo was moving, the style and feeling of it all. So i just had to order the no Jive yoyo and try for my self. I’t is the only yoyo i use nowadays. It’s just wonderful and it makes me feel in a way i like and never felt before. I’m sure i will pick up the others eventually, but fixed axle play is the thing for me right now.
