Introduce Yourself!

I’ve been around YoYos for quite a few years. I’ve been around for even longer. As a kid, I was at the 1962 Duncan National Yo-Yo Contest at Disneyland. Duncan had contests at every elementary and high school leading up to the main event. I was hooked. (Is this guy old, or what?) And long spin times of 30 seconds or more were massive.

A few years ago I found out the hobby had changed drastically (for the better, by the way). Unresponsive throws, offline, everything in-between. Thanks to YoYoExpert and all their videos, I slid back into the Yo. If you think cars have changed since the Model T, YoYo’ing has gone interplanetary.
I’m having a great time teaching tricks to my sons and their sons.

They think I’m cool now, even when my rotating orb breaks a string and flys off into the aquarium, microwave, or whacks me in the back of my head with enough force to project stars. I may be behind the learning curve, but I’m having a blast. This is an art form that truly transcends age, culture or class.

I may be asking some ignorant questions from time to time, so have patience and know I thank you for any input.

Hi my name is Eli. Im not sure if i have made a post here yet, but what ever. Ive been on YYE since February, and been yoyoing since December, 2010. My current throws are YYJ Eneme, YYJ Karma, and YYF 888x. I dont do anything other than yoyo, so I practice constantly. I have already passed up the Expert level tricks and am making up my own yoyo tricks every day. I am also a fellow Brony!

Hello, I’m Jay. I’m a devil stik juggler by trade with around 20 years experience. I also handmake some of the finest stix you’ll ever spin. I know this because over 20 yrs i have played practically every shape, size, style, and brand out there. Anyway, I started Yoing 10 years ago, learned a bunch of tricks and then stopped. Picked it back up a couple months ago and am determined stay with it and achieve pro status (someday).

Cool! Hope you keep with it this time. C=

Hi,

My name is Atinc ZOR - 33 years old - and I am new to yo-yoing… I came across couple of yoyo video clips on Youtube and found YoYoExpert website after a search on Google. What a great site…

I already ordered Dark Magic II, Hitman Professional, YYJ Journey and ILYY Saint Eel from YoYoExpert and they are on the way… Cannot wait to receiving them… My first yoyo and the one I am currently trying to learn on is Henry’s Viper…

I am working as a sales executive in an IT company… My other interests are: Riding a motorcycle (Ducati Multistrada 1200 S/T), Scuba Diving (Padi Rescue Diver), performing close-up and parlor Magic (General Secretary of the IBM Ring 367), and juggling…

I am happy to find this site which, I am sure, will be my main source on yo-yoing…

All the best,

Atinc ZOR

Hi everyone!

Names zach, I currently reside in Indiana going to school for elementary education at purdue university. Just bought my first to to a few weeks ago. It is a Duncan metal drifter but I don’t think I like the feel of the metal or the weight of it being a metal throw. There’s been a lot of useful info I’ve already found here and I hope to continue to learn a thing or two!

Welcome, Noskillz (dont worry I didn’t like the drifter either), Vannies, atinczor, and everybody above. YoYoExpert is awesome! Hope you like it :3.
