Hello All,

The name is Derek, I’m 21 and a college student majoring in history.
I used to be pretty heavy into yoyoing when I was younger, 8 or 9.
For some reason a group of friends and I decided to try it again and I want to start by make a wise purchase, your reviews are what brought me here, before I get serious.
Thanks,
Derek

Hello everyone! I am in my mid 20s and back on the scene after a 10 year break. I used to enjoy the Saber Raider, but I can’t help but notice how much things have changed! I play at a solid intermediate level, and I am breaking into advanced play. I find unresponsive play difficult to get used to, but I will try in the effort of landing some awesome tricks. I currently own a Dark Magic 2, but I found that it just didn’t do it for me, so I decided to order a Northstar. Hopefully I find a yo-yo that matches my skill and personality. I don’t remember having to do this much maintenance back-in-the-day, but I will see how it works out. I look forward to interacting, learning, and having fun. If anyone lives in the Norther LA area, then give me a shout. We should get together and form a club! See you in the threads!

Thanks Andre for the inspiration and instruction!

I’m Matt,

Looks like my story is similar to a lot of people in the forum. I was really into yo-yos back in middle school and such but sort of dropped it for a few years. Now I’m back and it seems like everything has changed. There are more companies making awesome throws and cooler tricks and all sorts of crazy stuff I had never dreamed of. I’m super stoked to back and I’ve already learned a lot. I’ve quickly become a fan of ILYY and CLYW but One Drop is really starting to peak my intrest lately with their new throws featuring side affects. I’m glad to be here and hope to keep learning and having fun with you all.

I’m AWESOME!!!

hello all the only reason i made an account is because i just ordered a yoyo factory genesis today and for some reason it is responsive like if i try to do brent stole it shoots back to my hand and hurts my knuckls it even happens if i try a normal laceration and even i i just pull the yoyo up. iv tried everything from using different respons to cleaning my bearing i even tried playing it dry and it is still responsive? what is wrong? do i need to ask for a replacement?

Hang around a little. You might learn something.

Hello.

Hi “and whut”…?

Hey yall, ive been throwing since November 2010 till now, and got into it when at friends house and saw his cosmic spin thing. Now 8 months later i use an 888x and cant wait to get sponsered by yoyofactory and meet Augie Fash.

Hey people from Yoyoexpert my name is Joseph and I’m from Los Angeles, California.Got my first yo-yo on Christmas from 2010 and Ive been yo-yoing ever since. Ive found it really fun and sometimes people call me weird but I do not really care what they think. I got a yomega x brain, yomega fireball, yomega hot shot, duncan freehand, duncan flying panda, and yoyofactory One. My favorite yo-yo is the One I’m hoping I can get a counter attack or a grind machine later on. I so far know 1a, 4a and 5a play Im a proficient player in those styles. I hope to keep yo-yoing and hopefully get into team yoyofactory and meet Augie Fash and Shinji Saito.

Everypony loves Augie he’s the best!

Hey everyone. I just started yo-yoing this past few weeks after a very long hiatus. I really got into yoyos a few different times throughout my life. First when I was around 11 years old, I got a yomega yoyo with a brain. Shortly after that I got my first Tom Kuhn in the late 80’s. I was into playing with the tom kuhns on and off throughout high school, but I didn’t know anyone else into yoyos so eventually I stopped with it.

About 7 or 8 years back I discovered Jack’s yoyo school at A2Z Science and learning store in Northampton, MA. I bought a yoyojam and took a few classes and really started getting back into it. Having people like Andre teaching there was pretty awesome. I got through the intermediate tricks in a short time, and was having fun learning the first of many advanced tricks. Unfortunately my life took a different turn and my focus went on a different path and I stopped yoyoing.

7 years later, and I am getting back into it all over again. Its been about a week and I have gotten through all of the intermediate tricks on this site. I might be stopping down at the A2Z yoyo classes soon, so if any of you are down there, I look forward to meeting with you and I hope to learn a lot from you all.

Great to have you, looking forward to seeing you post some more.
