My wife has been into yo-yos for many years and introduced me to these spinning little weapons on a string just a month ago. 
My yo-yos are a Throwman Classic, Onedrop Legendary Terrarian, Onedrop/Spingear American Metal Spingadget, Spingear Looping Star, and Onedrop Deep State.
I’m into responsive and looping yo-yos currently

Life’s sorta gotten in the way so I haven’t had the time or space to throw much in the last few years. I always planned to come back to it eventually though.
Howdy all, Coz here. I was shopping with my wife for Christmas presents when we stopped by a local toy & game store. The display of yo-yos caught my eye, so I had a nice chat with a young man about the current state of yo-yodom. He showed me some tricks on an unresponsive yo-yo. So an Atom Smasher will be be showing up in my stocking!
In the mean time, I dug up my Tom Kuhn No Jive 3-in-1s (original and mandala), purchased in the early 1980’s if my memory is correct (yes I’m an old fart) but dormant for 40 years or so. Working on a perfect sleeper to get started!
