Two questions:
What inspires the designs of your yo-yos?
What is the craziest idea you’ve had for a yo-yo?

  1. Inspiration comes in different ways depending on the project. Our basic guiding principle is we want to make cool things :slight_smile:
  2. We have a drawing of yoyo that the two halves are different from each and the whole thing looks like a jet engine. We have a folder of designs called “Bad Ideas”.

Also, every yoyo starts out in the “bad ideas” folder. At some point we realized that if we took our business model to a bank and asked to borrow money to start up, they’d call security and have us thrown out of their building because on paper, everything we do is basically a bad idea.

parabola

Here’s a yoyo cup that is a parabola. If you angle it just right you can use it to start fires with the sun! probably won’t make this one.
