I am looking for string. I used to use chaos string and ham string. So I am looking for strings similar to those. I like having a nylon heavy one and a poly/cotton heavy one. So yea idk every string I have got from YYE before has been short and pre knotted. Obviously meant for short children or something? Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
Im using string from offset (brandon vus shop), and i find it very good. Theres a great deal rn for 100 strings and 2 bearings. I would also just watch brandons video on his string since theres more detail there.
Its pretty long and its not pre knotted.
giant encyclopedia of reviews and overviews of tons of different strings made by me :)) it’s still ongoing, and i always love to help people in your situation
off the top of my head, zipline exec class lite might fit your heavy nylon need
Hi there!
Like yo-yo companies, there is a bunch of great string companies out there as well! I personally have been using @MattB YoYoStringLab strings for about 9 years now and they have always been consistent EVERY SINGLE TIME!
I flipflop between their 2 formulas Venom and Ka-Pow!
Venom for yo-yos with a smaller gap, and Ka-Pow! for the thicker gaps!
Love both because they keep tension very well, add an extra kick to your whips and slacks, with the addition of being the softest strings in the game (in my opinion)
I think for your heavier type/nylon blend the one that comes to mind is YoYoStringLab Nytro or Nitro Plus!
Both of those formulas include nylon along with being SUPER SOFT! Nitro and the plus versions are different due to the thickness!
Hope this helps, and if you have any other questions let us know!

Omg eric
Do you know if these are short or long and pre knotted or not? I like longer strings that are not pre knotted.
Each string is about 51" (54" fully stretched) without a finger loop.
For reference, I am about 5’7" and to cut it at “normal length/sweet spot” I usually cut off about 5-7" of extra string give or take!
Even If I want to play longer which I do sometimes for those tricks that are a lot easier to perform with a longer length (like quadruple or nothing mounts, or bigger body moves) I still need to cut off about an inch or two!
Even though the strings are not pre-knotted (which a lot of string companies also do) there is a technique to fully max out the string by just creating a slip-knot without making a Finger loop
Let us know if you have any further questions!
