I used to have a Northstar fingerspin & have used a protostar in the past. I loved the way they both played & didn’t see to drastic of a difference between them.
The protostar gets overwhelming praise but I can’t find much info on how the Northstar plays. Now I’m considering buying one of them, & want to know from those who’ve used or owed both, is one significantly better than the other? How much do they really vary?
They’re not that different. North Star is a little heavier and was used to win worlds

Oooh my bad. Haven’t tried it but the fingerspin thing is kind of a gimmick imo so I imagine it’s not as good as the OG.
I always liked the protostar better anyway though
I kind of thought the same thing. The fingerspin hub & reduced weight kind of seemed like it’d put it at a disadvantage, I think it’d be safest just to get a protostar. I wonder how the unusual spherical hub affects performance.
