I decided to clean my bearing on my boss, so I tried to remove it with a pair a pliers but now the bearing doesnt spin. I blame the force I exerted to remove the bearing, am I suppose to remove the bearing to clean it or am I suppose to leave the bearing in while cleaning it.
You’re supposed to take it out. Look at this video:
If you’re not following the same steps, you’re probably doing it wrong.
thanks but I think the boss is different from severe because he took the bearing out easily and put it back in with ease. For some reason my boss requires alot of strength to remove bearing, and putting the bearing back in also required alot of strength
try using pliers and tthen wriggling it out ( you have to use the right ones try a different one if one does’t work)
Same seat, same bearing. I guarantee you the process is the same. In fact, that’s how you take bearings out of EVERY yoyo that the bearing sits tight in.
also try throwing it in the freezer for a few minutes then try using the plier method, it will have no affect on the bearing
I have the same problem with my boss, you just need to wiggle it until it comes out/
and if the bearing is slanted, thats GOOD. just wiggle the bearing the other way to get it out easily.
I found the easiest way for me, while not damaging, is to take the pliers, gently grab the bearing, and start twisting the yoyo up and down. Apply just enough pressure to keep the bearing in the pliers. You rock the yoyo, and eventually the bearing will loosen, and then you can just use your fingers and get it out.
This is not the first boss to have this problem. Contact YYF. I have a friend who is getting a new boss from YYF on account of not being able to remove the bearing.

you might just need to use lineman pliers (the one in the video, with the circle in the middle) and do what he said in the video, just be patient and it doesnt take that much pressure.
