We lived in Raleigh, we got personalized Canes jerseys. My wife has #19 and I have #98.
So when my wife is on my left side it’s the year we were married.
If I’m taking to dudes I say the 1998 is for when they started playing in Raleigh since the 97 season was in Greensboro.

Well, my sources picked the Maple Leafs to go all the way but it’s looking a bit grim at this point.

They won a series - that’s the Leafs equivalent of “all the way”. 
(I can say that bc the Hurricanes enjoyed a marvelous 10 year playoff drought just a few years back)
