Hi, I just got back into yoyoing after 8 years. I just purchased the Hitman Pro.
I was wondering why this yoyo doesn’t return when i try to “pop” it back up. The yoyo is stock and has no modifications.
Sorry for the lame question yoyos have gotten a bit more complicated since i last used them…any help is appreciated. 
This is a Ball bearing yoyo. Most of these type of yoyo play what is called unresponsive. They require a bind to get them back up to your hand. Most yoyos these days play like this. Hitman Pros are a really good yoyo once you get to know binding.

Either you learn how to bind or you buy a cheaper starter yoyo like the kickside/lyn fury.
Binding isnt that hard, so you should have it down in no time.
Alternatively…
You can remove the sheild’s from the side of the bearing and apply a thick lube, this should make for smooth play but response!
No he didn’t. It can be made responsive. Lube the bearing.
Like Skip and jhb8426 said, lube it up! IMO the Hitman Pro was a great choice and you will be able to learn all kinds of tricks with it both responsive or unresponsive.
Thanks for the help guys. I also found that if I loop the string on the yo-yo three times it is responsive.
