Help with responsive Dale?

My a/rt Dale is acting up. I throw a breakaway & hold string out straight and give free string a tug.& boom right back up into my throw hand? It doesn’t feel like I have a “D.”.bearing?
Can someone help me.please?

Probably just need to clean the bearing.

Have you cleaned a bearing before?

I personally like acetone the best out of the solvents I’ve tried. If you don’t have any solvents like lighter fluid or acetone etc, you can try the paper cleaning method. It works pretty well most of the time.

Yes I do know how to clean a bearing……it works fine now but what really is confusing is the bearings in the quail & Dale look exactly the same?
But isn’t the Dale supposed to have a “c” bearing? I have seen other d & c bearings before in assorted throws… that look similar?

Dale uses a D bearing and Quail uses an A bearing.

Size A bearings are slightly smaller diameter and slightly more narrow compared to D, they both have the same inner diameter however and will fit on the same bearing post. In case you potentially got bearings mixed up.

Your yoyo identifies as ‘responsive’.

Who are you to disagree?
