My son who has been disinterested in yoyo decided he would like a metal responsive. I have 2 MK1 Slivers and figured one would make a good canidate. I know I can drop some thick lube in there, aside from that what else can I do to make it more suited for this? I’ve never modded a throw, always just played how they were made. Vanilla no mods since I left behind the gameshark
. Suggestions and tips are appeciated

half spec C bearing and a shorter axle would do the trick! not sure where to find the axles

This is the best way. Ive taken yoyos to the hardware store and you can see what works best

M4x6mm is a good start, unless that’s what’s already in it

The axle post is too long for a half spec bearing. The sliver comes in the box with a rubber sealed greased bearing for responsive play.

If you can’t find the stock one you can buy R188-2RS on Amazon for cheap. That’s the part number for a rubber shielded c bearing.
Blanks are a possible option but I don’t know if my 3/4 spec blanks would fit or not, I made them for yo-yos with posts too tall for half specs but I don’t have a sliver to test.
Well that’s awesome, now to find the box
