what can i do to make it unresponsive completely? also i lost my lubricant in the house somehow so i cant use thin lube on the bearing. also i dont have acetone to clean the bearing
btw is the axle on the speedaholic mn supposed to be so short? the axle is literally a responsive yoyo axle
you can also use lighter fluid to clean the bearing if you happen to have that around anywhere
other than that, really not many options unfortunately (replace the bearing, or clean it)
also you don’t want to add more lube to it, it would just make it more responsive

fyi: it’s not the pads or anything on the bearing seat, the bearing itself doesn’t spin at ALL

yk what ima try to keep playing with it and break it in, maybe the bearing is overlubed from the factory or something cuz the bearing is silent
If it has an amount of lube where it doesn’t spin, I think your best bet is to go to a local hardware store and get lighter fluid to clean it. Either that or swap out the bearing with a different throw. If it has bearing shields, use a safety pin or something else that’s thin and sharp in order to remove the c clips
Get isopropyl alcohol 91% from a store it is like 2$ and that’s what i use to clean bearings.
It’s probably responsive from factory lube. You can just play it until it isn’t responding anymore. Do a lot of gyro flops and that will help the lube break into the bearing.
You can reach out to the manufacturer and see if they can send you a replacement bearing, if you bought it new

Put the bearing in a glass or mug or something and put the alcohol in there and swirl it around and leave it for like 20 mins swirling occasionally. Take it out and put it on a pencil or something and flick it with your finger a few times then leave it to dry for like 30 mins. Then its good put it in the yoyo and play it

No you don’t. Especially bc the bearing is brand new and probably responding bc too much factory lube. You can if you want, but you don’t have to.
