Smiley faces remind me of this. Can’t remember where this pic was from, but pretty sure it was a Levi painted Peak

You should come up with the name yourself, otherwise it won’t feel like it’s yours.

Otherwise, “Brian” as above is pretty good :ok_hand:

Okay either a terrible name or kinda funny, maybe good vibes? And the logo could have something with a vibrating effect around It. I think it sounds pretty nice but also sounds like your yoyos vibe haha, but I doubt anyone is really gonna take that seriously and go off the happy energy of what it sounds like yk

Just use parts of your name… Noah Guy yoyos.

I’m actually really liking HappYo

Hi
I worked in Corporate Branding before. In my experience you need: a name, a logo, a color scheme, a key-visual to actually have a recognizable brand. All of them should be chosen with care and purpose.

I know that for many companies and success-stories of enterprises, they like to showcase, how they chose their name or logo at a whim or by chance. But that’s usually just a marketing trope to place a brand as casual. I would avoid that.

Can we see the smiley? How it looks?

If the smiley is a given, then I would consider to just go with your name: Nguyen with a subline (when necessary) of: Yoyo company. Or Yoyo studio (To show the boutique qualities of your work). Using your name demonstrates honesty to your customer. And it’s neutral enough so that you can run individual styles in the marketing for each yoyo.

I would not play a joke in your branding or some insider thing. Jokes get old quick. You want your brand to last. it’s not just a meme of some edgelord thing.

But these are just thoughts of the top of my mind. To get actually good branding takes way more work.

I really love the advice you gave them.

Since you have experience on the subject, may I ask your impressions of why Anti-Yo branding was such a success? They aren’t even around anymore, and yet the brand still lives rent free in my mind (as the kids are saying nowadays.)

Step 1: Move to Denver, CO
Step 2: Start “Smile High Yoyos”

Care to share the smiley and what style throws you’re interested in making?

Thanks man.

Sadly, I can’t. I am not familiar with Anti-Yo. I tried a quick google and only found this:

I don’t know how the name and the speech-bubble logo fit together. Also, the heart is cute, but what’s “Anti-” or “Anti-Yo” about that? I don’t get the “Anti-” part, but that may just be a personal problem.

What did you like about them?
