Help identifying this yoyo. Please.

well i have bought this throw a few days ago. But im not sure what it is? i dont see any marks or numbers around it. i checked all around the net and couldnt find anything that looks close to it. i have played it and it does vibes. It doesnt seem to have dings or flat spots to cause it to vibe.
i was wondering if anybody here could help me find out what i have. More pictures on link.
thanks.

I’m no expert, but a yoyo without markings is either customized, as in refinished, of hand lathed. Hand Lathed might be more likely though.

Looks good, where did you get it?

ive seen this before… it might be something from the yoyonation days…

That is Beast by Double Take Industries (Mike Montgomery). I actually was in the team and helped him designing this, but for some reason there was a difficulty when machining.

Thanks to everyone for taking a look and helping me. Since i bought this yoyo from a friend i been breaking my head figuring out what it was.
But more thanks to rizki_yoist for letting me know what i bought. i had no idea it was called Beast by DTI. thank you Sir.

Wait a minute, that was the first prototype that has vibe, the newer model which in my photo has groove cut on the outer ring that reduce pretty much all the vibe, but losing rim weight in turn.

I had a"beast" via Mike Montgomery at one point collecting, but what is the weight? The beast was well made but was a tad light as I remember…your picture looks like a solid throw…67-69 grams maybe…but Mike’s beast was about 64 g at most! The weight should inform you then…

when i take it apart one side seems a little heavy than the other. but i guess i have to weight to make sure…

thats where ive seen it… i used to want a few of the DTI yoyos… but many of them just dont show up on the bst anymore…

Is that a KYO Alph?

no its defiantly a DTI Beast. just figuring out how to fix the vibe…

The best way to fix vibe is to shrug your shoulders.

The thing is, yours is basically a prototype, not the production ones which have no problem. I don’t know where you get it, but the previous owner should have told you about this.
Unless you own a lathe, it can’t be fixed since it’s the problem on the weight distribution being too wide out, that amplifies even the slightest machining imperfections. Same problem with the Speedaholic, the weight is too wide out.

Yeah you guys are right. Being a prototype is hard to fix the crazy vibe. I did notice and I tried putting a those rubber weight rings on one side It does help balance it a little. So I was able to do a couple tricks with it. But I’m gonna leave it as is. I don’t want to grind it or put it in a machine to balance it since I don’t want to ruin it. I guess I would just have it as nice display.

A little vibe never hurt anyone. Unless it’s a wobble (extreme vibe), let it go.

Yeah its a wobble yoyo… but im not upset because i cant use it, its kind of nice to have it around…
since i saw it i did have a feeling it was some kind of prototype and thats fine…

it’s clearly john cena

Apparently I still have the video in my hdd.

I forgot to post this after Xmas. i finally got a working DTI Beast. a gift from my brother. As you can see in the picture the left one is the prototype that wobble like crazy and the other is the last run. i did notice that the last run has the inner groove inside on the rim to balance it. just wanted to throw it out there and happy to have the working one. it is a fun throw.
