Have you ever superglued your axle nut inside the yoyo body?

Really want to know before I do it

Im a yoyo noob with minimal knowledge about anything and this title is wild.

That’s how the mighty flea was born.

I would use loctite instead of super glue. Same concept and this has been used a bunch before.

Yeah I definitely had to reread it slowly :laughing:

I’ve used super glue to put a couple throws back together that were stripped. They actually play great still, I just don’t throw them that hard.

I get why you may want to do this however if you ever strip the nut your gonna have a bad time. Not sure if it’s worth doing.

It’s for a pair of yomega spectrums. The axle nut they use is so small and on two different yoyos…fireball/spectrum ex…I’ve had the same issue. Once you lube them over time a bit gets into the nut socket. The nuts being so small they end up being lubricated enough to cause a freely spinning nut in the socket making it impossible to twist them apart. I bought a new pair of spectrum ex’s and want to prevent this before it happens.

@yoyojoe any links for reference?

i’ve been throwing for almost a year and it’s still wild don’t worry

If you can remove the caps you can glue the nuts w/o a problem. Otherwise I don’t see how it can be done.

Haven’t glued it yet. Still thinking of solutions. Two options that may work is wrapping the nuts in plumbers tape or putting a dap on silicone on each nut before putting them into the sockets. Thoughts?
