Haters gonna hate

Got my first “hater” comment on a video

some people need to project insecurity I guess.

Oh, YouTube commenters… lol

How often do you deal with hecklers or haters, and you have any good comebacks?

I get it a lot on TikTok. I either don’t respond or delete if really bad

Ugh that’s a shame. People can be so judgmental of things we share for fun. I think it’s just insecurity masked behind being a “tough guy”

I go off the thought that it’s just as much a waste of energy for someone one to post that kind of comment as is to give it any time of day or response back.

They all can suck it, they’re just jealous…

People like this usually end in deep depression

Haha I posted a video a while back and someone said something like “don’t know if to be impressed or cringe” and with all 30 views of it and no desire to go viral, I deleted the comment. It definitely is frustrating, and hurtful. You have a good comeback, and if the person tries to clap back, I’d say ignore them. Their hobby might be posting inflammatory comments to troll people, they’re probably going to keep doing it.

Ignore the haters

I haven’t posted enough publicly to have to deal with garbage like that, but as others have already pointed out, those types of idiotic insults are usually founded in deep insecurities, and it’s generally not worth the effort or energy to engage. Sorry you all have to put up with that.

I’ve not dealt with anything like that, mainly because I don’t use social media enough to warrant something like that. Most seem to be mindless, like the one in the picture. Pithy stabs at contention are not worth the effort. Ignorance is the best policy with such things

Don’t feed the trolls

Honestly you gave the best comeback. Maybe one day that miserable commenter will find a hobby that doesnt include a screen in their face. But keep your head up and look past them

I find it revealing about the insulting person’s go to insult is not about the skill or flow or talent… it is about the 1st thing this insulted thinks to insult about is, the persons lack of intimacy when the insulter sees the video.

To the insulter
“ we understand you are lonely, get out there and meet a few people “

Your welcome

Cleaned it up a bit

So, you posted a video of a grown man playing yo-yo and you are surprised that you got snarky comments on social-media?

I am not sure ‘hate’ is the word. people are just looking for something to funny to respond with. Taking it seriously is your first mistake. It might be worse. The world might have just ignored your post instead.

So should I bash you in response to this comment? After all, you’re a grown man posting on social media about a toy.

Like I get what you’re saying, yeah people are gonna make stupid remarks, and I shouldn’t take that seriously, which honestly I didn’t. I shot back with some snark and decided to start a conversation here about what it’s like to get comments like that.

Also, see the title of the post. Haters, will indeed hate, I’m under no delusion that I command respect because I posted a video playing with a YoYo.

I very rarely deal with such things, but I believe one must take a healthy approach to it…

If what someone is saying about you is true, then you can take their insults, or criticisms, and use it to better yourself.

Whereas, if what they are saying is nothing but foolishness, then you gain nothing from paying it any mind—and thus, waste your time in doing so.

Or, if it is only banter between friends, I usually respond with riposte…

Do remember there is still some good peeps out there, and don’t let the bad ones take away from that

I think that’s why I found it post worthy, normally these vids only get pushed to people who are into it, especially me just being “some guy” who posts videos about all sorts of esoteric things
