Haters gonna hate

I’m glad you posted it, it’s a good reminder for myself as it can still get under my skin at times

And the advice here will help others getting into sharing as well

I can’t say without my comment getting deleted.

They say it costs nothing to be nice, but being a hater is also free (though I wish I got paid).

Likewise, it’s free to evict these people from renting your headspace. Honestly, I’m a bit perplexed why this thread exists. Why give this type of person more of your mental energy? Surely they’ve forgotten about their silly comment, you’d do well to do the same.

I don’t know why this is the first thing that came to mind.

Mostly because I found it funny, and was curious how often it happens to others. This was my first time getting something like that commented on a video.

Also, I think it could help with a sense of community knowing that yeah, there’s people who are gonna bash us for this hobby, but mostly because they themselves find meaning by demeaning others, and that “you” arn’t the only one dealing with it.

Again, just trying to start a convo, but I feel like the dismissive stuff is like what I was told growing up with bullying. Yeah I mean easy to say, but sometimes the self-doubt and inner critic gets amplified by the voices who throw passing shade. I’m sure they don’t even remember typing it, and like I said, it made me laugh, but there are people that something like could really get at them.

I just want to those people that they are not alone, and we are here for them.

Nothing quite like sharing a passion and then getting laughed at or whatever, that sucks. Not at all trying to validate the troglodyte.

Honestly, the few times I’ve experienced anything like this online, it’s so minor I just laugh it off. Someone tries to insult my maturity or even my religion with a meme, I can’t help but bust out laughing, because I love memes and it’s made funnier by the fact that I know it’s not true.

Ignore them, they will go away. Don’t delete their comments. They are creating an archive of what type of person they are.

I had prominent member of our community trolling my instagram account. I ignored the comments, he went away. I just keep it in the back of my head to avoid this person on all aspects.

Well I really liked your response to that guy.

While I see why someone might post something on social media in accordance with their hobbies, there is truth in this.

I’ve received comments like that on my “how to tie a proper knot” video. It’s like, dude it’s a 40 second clip of tying a knot. It takes longer to write a crappy response than it does to click past the video. LOL! It’s so dumb.

I’ve found it’s also almost always from people that have zero posts, just blank and empty accounts. The video has 558k views so a handful of hateful comments are to be expected I suppose. I find them more amusing than anything.

Where did that come from? Did I rattle the bars on your cage? Since I have no idea who you are, or why you are so hostile - I will hope that you learn to feel better about yourself in the future and do not find the need to cowardly post your negative thoughts on social media.

Cheers.

Post in imgur lol. Some of the funniest things ive seen people type has been in response to yoyo posts in imgur.

I just turn the comment option off on my youtube channel. I never felt the need to want to have comments anyway.

i don’t see how you would know me as we dont communicate and I’m hostile because my friend came here being vulnerable and instead of being either supportive or keeping quiet, you chose to throw salt on his wound

also i assure you i feel great about myself, it’s you about whom i have doubts

It’s funny that people directly browse the site that was only created because Reddit didn’t host images.
