Has anyone used/have a YYR Messiah 666?

Saw it on the Japanese tops list for this year and I looked it up… Nice looking straightforward shape but the dimensions seem interesting.

It’s 43mm wide, 49mm diameter, and weighs a whopping 68g. I compared it to throws I have and that’s the same width as a Rebirth but smaller diameter (3.5mm smaller) and it weighs more. It’s a bimetal vs mono 6061 so that makes sense but still… it’s smaller than the Motion Parallel and weighs 11g more.

It’s a dense little guy.

i dont think i’m gonna buy one i was just curious if anyone had tried it. it’s like a pocket throw for @GTDropKnot he likes em heavy

Maybe he can explain why he doesn’t like them too much at least. YYR had an old yoyo called the Messiah you can read about, not sure how different the new mono is.

lol I did try this yoyo and I didn’t like it. It’s just too small. Prolly has the weight so it doesn’t suck. Small diameter nerfs spin and the extra weight is prolly there to help balance that. It spun good when I tried it, just felt like a joke. fwiw pano is my favorite pocket yoyo

This yoyo has no right to be as good as it is. I tried it at my yoyo club and fell in love with it. While not everyone may be a fan of it i think it would be worth every penny.

There was also the Six. The new versions seem in line with these (way) earlier Takahiro Iizuka signatures.

I have one and it’s very good. Right up there with the best I have. You definitely feel the weight and it’s powerful as one would guess. Great for fast tech with some horizontal. Very stable and maneuverability is great. If I compare to older muscle cars something like the Counter Point would be a small block and the 666 is the big block with the devil himself driving.

now the six profile was revived on yyr’s latest models (quad four and savage)
