What is the black and white? Marker?
Looks amazing!
The whole thing is layers of watercolor and india ink, all applied with a brush. The kendama I did was with a sharpie pen, but I don’t think that the roughness of the EH will necessarily work very well with a pen or marker. The brush can get down into the deeper parts of the grain to comlete the lines and color blocks.

Do you think the watercolor will last on there?
I painted my EH with acrylic and it started chipping after a while…
I’m gonna try india ink next tho thats a good idea looks great!
I plan on doing a clearcoat of some sort to protect the art.
