What qualities does one look for in a 5a yoyo?
full sized, Heavily rim weighted, thinner profile. The Duncan Echo is my ideal 5a yoyo.
I’ve been using my Legacy simply because it’s one tough yoyo but I’m feeling like it isn’t appropriate for advanced 5a. I’m thinking my Raptor might work pretty well.
Actually, I thought you look for a wider profile in a 5a yoyo.

Really depends on personal preferences. I look for something with good stability that can build momentum well. I would say full sized would be a good general quality people look for in 5A. And yes, a wide profile would be nice since when you throw the counterweight around you want to land the string or else things could get tangled.
