Freshly Dirty Fluke

Anyone heard of this? Have any opions or reviews of it?

If you like organics it’s absolutely amazing. One of my favorite throws of 2024

Well, I guess we’ve heard about it now, lol😂

The Fluke is the signature yo-yo of our very own Wes Shuck. It is his ideal design for laid back everyday use, while still retaining a spirit of creativity and flow. The design is entirely the vision of Wes, with the original prototype even being hand produced with Wes’s assistance back in 2018 in his home state of Michigan. The Fluke comes in 2 versions, a blasted and a brushed finish. The blasted version features a split beadblast along our signature “sight lines” in the gap to minimize string wear and provide a nice visual contrast both inside and outside of the sight line. See full specs below.

56.7mm diameter

44.3mm width

66.0g weight

6061 AL

C bearing

The special edition of the Fluke is inspired by a very unique individual named Johnny Scrabble

Yea thing looks awesome! I couldn’t wait to see for myself so I had to post here to read any praises. I had no idea this was such a new release. Hopefully mine delivers sooner than later haaha. Thanks for the posts guys, keep em coming!

I have a yo that is organic-esque in shape but it isn’t really spherical or fancy materials like the high end Bowl, Grail, or 000. I’ve never played with one of them fancy ones either so I have no basis for comparison. The most organic like shape yoyo I have is the Dopamine. I hope to get a plastic 000 soon.

Arthur and wes are both amazing just buy it and love it. Honestly probably the tamest FD YoYo in awhile and that’s not an insult just last few models have been very unique so this one feels more back to roots sort of which was kind of the theme for FD going into the end of the year.

Super fun YoYo often in my rotation. I’m very happy he rounded it more after feedback. I personally didn’t jive with the protos of this one I played at club but the end production version was a must buy.

If I had to compare it and this is unfair cause only a handful of folks have played it but it’s like. YYBC operator but lighter more open and a bit faster in play.

I’m super aware that comparison is pointless for almost everyone here but when I pulled out the proto operator and Arthur plopped out the prod fluke we both said did you copy me. It was funny. Just similar ideas of going more old school with a modern twist.

I enjoyed your post and you’re right I have no idea what you’re comparing it to, but I’m interpreting it to say the Fluke is really great. I don’t have anything to compare this to, but all the replies are saying that I chose wisely haaha. I ordered one up last week, a brushed, and its supposed to deliver on Tuesday. I’m so excited!

Update: it’s delivering today but I won’t be here! I’ll be at DXL!!

Nate Wade has been shredding the Fluke on IG if you need some POV

This is the G2 YYBC Operator Prototype that @Captrogers was speaking of and comparing to.

Oh daaaang, that dude is amazing! I’m nowhere near that level of play, just glad that no one is reporting that its a brick! Hopefully it delivers early so I can break it in at DXL!

Woah thats a real cool shape! Neat how the rims recurve instead of flare out or stop at the apex.

The next question: Do I need to get anything else to fulfill the organic shape category or am I set?

I mean, if you’re talking about getting a Fluke then that definitely fits the bill. But some people just can’t stop at 1… or even 100.:rofl:

What sold me of Fluke were the specs and its just shy of being a 57mm

56.7mm diameter

44.3mm width

66.0g weight

6061 AL

C bearing

What are the specs on the G2/ Boomer Operator? @Slestak75 @Captrogers

Diameter on Organics makes a big difference in play IMO

I genuinely thought we were talking about multi meters. But now I want a Fluke edition Fluke.

I agree, think FD missed the opportunity on that one. @arthurfoley @Saltman360

Maybe next run?

Got mine from the mail just now and threw it around a bit. Its super nice. Flukin awesome. Before slinging it around I opened her up and gave the bearing a little spin and woooo it just kept going. Fit and finish is beautiful. The specimen is of the purple brushed type.

I just had time to sling it a few times, not a real session. But I really like it. I hit my knuckles on it as Im not used to some dimension of it. Kinda want to get another just in case of something…speaking of just in case, I was at DXL today and was slingin my yo around (a different yoyo, not the Fluke) and it ended smacking into one of them bollards. It left two nice, sharp, chunky gouges in the rim. It was so loud the entire crowd “Oooooooo” 'd like when the dishes crash at a restaurant haaha. Anyways, Im gonna try putting a stem kit in my old Cold Fusion!

Dudes, so in this past month I went ballistic on the GAS (gear acquisition syndrome). I dove down the rabbit whole of organics with both feet and all four of my dog’s. I picked up the standards and plus some. Now I’m nowhere near a pro or anything. I’m just a dude that knows a few things and enjoys slinging the yoyo around with my son. During a session I rotate through to compare/contrast all the yoyos. Well, out of all the “fancy”, “better”, more expensive and desirable for (some reason or another) yoyos I always end up slinging the Fluke the most. It’s flukin awesome. Underrated for sure. I hope that this thing catches on and more get to experience it’s awesomeness.
