Whats the best setup for unresponsive play? I have a concave bearing and Yoyofactory string, but the string seems a bit thick still. And are there shims for widening the gap? Dm me if so.

Silicone recess.
I don’t even have a concave, it’s unresponsive with a clean stock bearing and a silicone recess.
If you dont want to silicone, remove one pad.

back in the old days, we use o-rings (same outer diameter of the size A bearing) and you can adjust your preferred gap width with just a small twist.
Setting: YOYO HALVE - O-RING - SPACER - BEARING - V.V
