🛸 Found Please Close: Want to Buy Ti Vayder

Edit: I found one. But there is some useful information on Unnumbered Ti Vayders in the comments for anyone searching in the future.

“If once you start down the dark path, forever will it dominate your destiny, consume you it will.”

Im looking for a Ti Vayder in any color. I would also prefer a Mint one with the Box but I am interested in any condition. Im also ok with one of the unnumbered B grades that were sold.

Send me a message if you have one.

Every Ti Vander will “ting” That’s titanium…

Yea but the process Jeff used to make them Black was more of a coating. So im assuming that will dampen the ping some vs the Raw. Im not sure on the Grey but I think it was done similar to the Black. If it was just titanium anodizing it wouldn’t matter. For example if it was blue or purple. But that Black for sure and I think the Grey have some type of coating done.

Maybe im wrong and it doesn’t affect it.

I think he used PVD to get that Black on the titanium vs anodizing it since you can’t anodize titanium black. I just assumed that type of coating would dampen it some. But maybe im wrong and the coating is so thin it doesn’t matter. I like the Black too I just wanted to make sure I got that good titanium ting. :joy:

i’ve had all three. anecdotally, in my experience there is not a difference harmonically between them.

I’ve had all three as well, and agree with @fatguysnacks247. I just have the black one now. It looks the coolest to me.

From what I understand the 36 unnumbered, ( 12 of each color ) were not b-grades. From what I was told the 36 were sent to professional players before the release of the 500 to give feedback and hype. I got mine from one of those pro’s long before the actual release. Mine is boxed and unnumbered in black and it’s flawless. There are no VS Newton stickers on the box and heath never touched those 36 Vayder’s. He stepped in after those were given out. Of the 536 total, none of them were ever considered or referred to as b-grades as far as I was told.

Ive been down the Ti Vayder rabbit hole the past few days so that’s how I know the following off the top of my head. There was atleast 6 Grey B grades sold here on the forums. 3 were sold by Jeff here on the forums for $70. The other 3 were traded here on the forums by HVizier. As far as the others that went to people early like youtubers and stuff im not sure if they were considered B grades. Jeff also said around 2% were considered B grades by FPM before they did their own checking which might have lowered it by changing halves or bearings etc. Also apparently these B grades were really good. Nothing crazy bad. So I just assumed all of them were B grades if they didn’t have numbering. So maybe some are and some aren’t.

Maybe the only way to tell the unnumbered vayders apart is the box. The B grades had the Newton stickers. The A grades were missing the newton sticker like yours.

Well I thought I knew everything I could about the Vayder. Apparently not. Best of luck with your search. :victory_hand:

I have the smoked grey and the raw and the black Vader’s.

And I have two Ti Walkers.

I will set up and do a sound test and compare the sound of the different color Vader and then I will do a sound test on the Ti Walkers.

I will see if the Vader’s sound different based on color. And it would be interesting to see how different the walkers sound than the Vaders?

I can confirm: the 36 unnumbered ones aren’t B-grade, but pre-production units.
To get clarification on the number and nature of the B-grade units, I think the best thing to do is ask @Codinghorror.
