Why people are quiting YoyoExpert like Buhhdafusion.

Because they quit yoyoing.

Or they stopped seeing the point in forums. After a while it becomes repetitive. I’ve put thought into quitting the forums lately.

But Buddha quit because he quit yoyoing.

buddha quit yoyoing? when did that happen. yoyo is THE BEST thing that has ever come to me.

Yes, to you. Maybe not him.

They have lost interest in yoyoing, or just the fourm(s). Along w/ Q, I have also been thinking about possibly leaving the forums, or just not posting as much. But, I’ve decided to stay.

my first couple months on the forums, i would be on constantly. now i have somewhat lost interest. I just log on to see if something is new and look at just a couple threads a day.

I am not on much anymore because I have other, BETTER things to do with my time instead of sitting for hours on the forums. The problem I see with a lot of the community is rather than actually playing with yoyos they spit technical knowledge or toss their enormous internet egos around that detracts from the fidelity of the community. You see people senselessly flaming users they don’t even know, you get the “Grammar Police” (lamez0r). As for the repetitive discussion threads, well to be blunt there isn’t anything that can be done about it. The search function seems to elude many newer users which leads to multiple threads asking about how long one yoyo sleeps. The point is, forums are useful but there comes a time when one notices the forums become repetitive, 90% (I exaggerate) of the threads are just rehashed versions of earlier threads. It get tiresome answering the same questions over and over.

A long time ago, this forum was my favorite place in the world… eventually, I got tired of typing “No yoyo is best, its all preference.”. There was a time of maybe 3 months when I had no internet access whatsoever. When I looked at the most recent video I had uploaded just before that, and compared it to my new tricks, I was amazed at how much better I got. That taugh me that no matter how much you know about yoyos, and what’s going on with the yoyoing community, you can’t improve unless you get up and practice.

I get annoyed with answering the same thread every day reporting the same mistakes and decided to let the forum go on autopilot until it was my job to fix it. I hang out in the chat and focus more on yoyoing now.

So that’s why I haven’t seen you ;D

I work on the internet so I’m guilty of being on all day long Mon-Fri, but I need some kind of entertainment. Once I’m out of work I’m not on anymore (unless I’m waiting for an email) and I’m throwing until I have string burn. I have noticed since being on here, there are two kinds of people, people that throw and focus on YoYoing and YoYo’s themselves, but there are others that are here to have a spitting contest, being cocky on how well they throw or what they know. Now I’m not talking about the friendly battles, I’m talking about the “I’m awesome, and you don’t come close to me in skill” kind of people. I can tolerate the newbees asking the same question over and over, the only way they will learn is to ask. I’m cool with that. It’s the people that are on here acting like they are the cock of the walk that make me angry. I feel the sooner we all understand that we all YoYo and are here for the same reason (yoyoing, just in case anyone doesn’t understand that) than the sooner things will make a turn for the better. Please, correct me if I’m wrong.

This is happening to me.

Yep, and you know I’m not entirely happy right now. Not sure how much longer I will have purchasing any YYF plastics in mind.

The forums seem dead to me, so I just log on now and then to check on the NH crew and maybe answer a few topics. I’m going on yyn currently, but they seem dead to… :-\
