Alot of people have been complaining about NorthStars, but I love mine. Sure it had vibe, but I put in a flat bearing (YYE or YYF, not sure?) and it’s super smooth now! I love Center Trac bearings, but this Flat Bearing made it much better! So I suggest you do this. But it would be nice if YYF just changed it up a bit so it’s perfect, BUT I don’t even think that is necessary.
i put a terrapin in mine. i will only play those now. i hate the center trac bearings. they really dont help at all
Agreed, i dont buy the hype over center track or konkave bearings. they actually dont allow your string to move freely and displace wraps properly. one drop 10 ball is all i need
Still doesn’t solve the weight ring/plastic body pressure cracking issue.
Apparently the next run of Northstars aren’t gonna have that problem…

Iunno, it’s already a good enough yoyo to win Worlds with, why aren’t people happy with that?

Never said I wasn’t happy. I love my Northstar.
But just throwing a flat bearing in it isn’t the fix-all for vibe.
I’m pretty sure there are little black arrows on your northstar that can help you with this vibe problem…
