@sneepsheep @SlowThrow I see you. Not too late. It’s been a rough few day… well whole week really. I will get your picks in the order they were received. There are a few prior to these that are in question and I need to find out for sure on those. Nice Job!!!

Sorry buddy. Thanks for facilitating this challenge and I hope things go better for you and your family soon

Just curious if you were wanting to be counted in the Imperial Challenge. It was a tad uncertain in the post and I don’t want to move on until being certain. I will say that the super narrow and unforgiving gap on specifically the Duncan Imperial is what makes the challenge so challenging, and the gap on the yo-yo in question looks to be rather generous by comparison. So this may be up for debate. Let me know.

Heck yeah, just a hit making da zines repeat on my No Jive

The imperial is a truly unforgiving mistress lol

Edit: hit it a few times now, guess it’s time to try to film it lol

Way to go Joe!! Are you wanting to claim an Imperial Challenge on this? You certainly earned it? Let me know as I am trying to get things ready to ship out on Monday.:+1:

The midnight special has a surprisingly forgiving gap compared to the standard imperial. Here is my midnight special next to a layer infinity classic. Even with my limited skills I was nailing trapeze on the midnight special this morning, and I’m terrible lol.

Ohh I thought it was much closer to the original! Thank you for sharing.

I do kinda regret not snagging a Dark Kasm, but I have fallen back in love with the Duncan’s I have

Not only is the gap wide but there’s also a bit of catch zone on it. There’s like no catch zone at all on the Imperial. But man, if you get good on it you will benefit across the board.

Yeah, after a little experimenting the midnight special imperial is literally the easiest yoyo to land stalls on out of my pretty big collection. I think it’s the high walls plus the v gap.

Memories…
OG Midnight Special was my go-to throughout my entire youth right up until the late 90s boom.

I’m assuming that’s the Al Midnight Special correct? It looks to have the same design/specs as the regular Al Imperial. Similarly, I believe the plastic version is basically a 1:1 for the plastic Imperial also if I’m not mistaken.

The Aluminum versions are definitely different from what I had seen as well. Much more forgiving.
