Hey folks! Not trying to pick any fights, just wondered what everyone’s impression was? I figure enough times passed since the recent D bearing release to see what people think?
Original C bearing release on the left, newer D bearing release on the right.
I’ve not played both, but I’ve played the D bearing on and off, and just bought a NickleD. I wonder how the weight would feel compared with a C bearing. I really like the D bearing.

Haven’t played any Firecrackers, though I know it was based off of the Stainless Steel Quiz, which was a C Bearing. Once I got rid of the shield bearing and put in a Concave it’s been a great player.
Me? Well, I’m gonna have to go against the grain. I know everyone loves the D bearing release. I do as well! It’s a killer throw.
Maybe im just an old fart, but I prefer the og. Just an awful lot smoother. This could be just my particular throw and not the design, so it’s not definitive whatsoever.
Regardless, they’re both great throws.
Honestly that’s probably the quality of the bearings.

I have both and prefer the snappiness of the new d bearing. That being said, I only ordered the new release because the original c bearing is such an awesome throw!
