Before I pull the trigger on a Slap Jr, I’m wondering if there is I similarly spec’d throw that runs a D. The only D I own (or have thrown) is ‘The Don’ and I find myself reaching for it often. Thanks a plenty. Throw on homies.

I’d say it depends on what you’re looking for. The D bearing Ptarmigan would be my choice. I have that as well as the Slap Jr.
To me the Slap Jr feels very utilitarian. Like a tool for honing in your skills. It is incredibly stable and so very capable but it doesn’t excite me. It just feels like a tool. The Ptarmigan however feels like a more dense old school joy that has been ultra refined to near bi-metal stability. It has really got soul and it performs very well. I reach for my Ptarmigan every day. Still trying to decide if I want to keep the Slap. Do yourself a favor while these are still available. The Ptarmigan | FeatherSpin Throws

D-Bearing version Firecracker, by Recess is a solid solid choice as well. Little heavier, not bi-metal, but specs are similar (54mm x 37.8mm x 64g vs. 52mm x 36mm x 59g).
Also, fantastic for both responsive and unresponsive, and comes with both bearings.

Your looking for a slim line Undersize Bi metal. l don’t think there are many/ or if any current? (That upcoming DD louvre tho!!!) And that’s what why slap Jr is so dope! I love the slap jr! Especially the cerakote. It’s my edc! Feels great in the pocket and in the hands. It doesn’t tilt as much when making mistakes, very forgiving.
Other than that, id advocate for a freshly dirty VHS, that is the D bearing I pick up the most. Kinda hard to find but not impossible.
Get the Slap jr! Very special!

I believe @Thruwell has one up for grabs presently, and I do happen to be currently visiting the in-laws in Europe… Not quite sure it’s what I’m after tho.
Do you think this might have anything to do with being a D bearing…? I read a bit about you experience with the PIF, did you feel the same way about the C?
Perhaps we could petition @ExYoyoAddict to option the Dreamland in a D…eh…?

I would say the “soul” is in the shape of the design. The C bearing version had the same great soul and leaned to a more old school feel while the D bearing is what I accredit for the improved stability and refined feel. Both are great but the D has been the preference of most as far as I have seen.
