I believe a video exist that goes into detail over the ti Walker ti Vader with the most knowledgeable principals involved with explanations on the intent of both throws. I have seen it posted on the forum.
Ti Triton Proto. Not close.
This is correct. My Ti Walker was actually one of the Walkers Jeff measured to get accurate specs for the Vayder.
It is arguably ‘better’ than the Ti Walker in just about every way. Perhaps it’s due to more precise machining (I’m guessing) or maybe the ano (my Vayder is black) plays a part, though I doubt it. But I still prefer the Ti Walker - it just has some undefinable characteristic that makes it an absolute pleasure to throw. Pure performance-wise, I think the Vayder wins.
One drop citizen was made in america
My titanium is made in America.
My knives also.
I had more ti throws but I traded those for fantastic Damascus kitchen knives for work. Best trades ever!!!
Had to laugh at this.
Citizen and Sovereign, plus more that I’m probably forgetting
Anyone picking up the new derti today?
You know it!
Like, Russell andert derti??? Where is it dropping?
Yea, and it is posted on the RSO website for pre-order.
I am stating my opinion. It seems to me that my opinion is worth just as much as yours; or Heath’s. If we want to speak about the trustworthiness of those opinion’s, well…
If you were in a room by yourself, you would think of a way to start trouble.
Maybe it has to do with reading and either not understanding or not caring to understand, dunno?
How can you refute the fact that Heath designed the original and helped design the Vayder.
Heath knows more about the finer nuances of his designs than ‘most of us’ ‘regardless of our opinions’.
The plan was to build an even better Ti(Walker) and there was no urgency to make 500 of them until it was ‘decided’ that the Vayder is/was a better player(even if not by some great measure).
If, anybody involved would have been concerned that the Vayder didn’t click the right boxes, they would have continued to prototype.
The fact that 500 were made, logic would dictate they felt they had completed their mission.
Our personal opinions work for us, nothing wrong with ‘your opinion’.
But technically our ‘opinions’ are personal based and not necessarily fact/and/or/reality based.
If you paid attention to what I said/meant, you would not have to make something out of nothing.
That’s my opinion.
Before the Vayder was made in mass, Heath didn’t give his opinion on which was a better player.
He made a decision on which was a better player from his extensive experience with his original design compared to the upgraded yo-yo he personally assisted in designing.
The Vayder final design was not based on Heaths’ opinion. It was based on what he knew and not what he guessed…
Oh well…
Going to throw my rso spaceship into the ring on this one. Truth be told though I don’t buy much ti, I don’t find the value to be there in ti for my personal taste.
I got one! First throw ive bought in over a year (which was the MechaBape OG)
But to answer OPs question,
Id say AMS Tundra still is my favorite.
But the MechaBape is a wonderfully close 2nd.
Ti-Vayder is also a super duper throw! Id put it as a close 3rd.
I also still have and play both the TiHawk and TiShee, both are dandy in their own ways, but my top 3 would be the ones listed above.
Anyone have any thoughts on RSO ti D bearing tiramisu? I love the shape and D bearing. How is it?
The TiRAMiSU is one of my favorite throws. I’m definitely snagging the C-bearing version when they release it.
How does it play?
The d-bearing does what you’d expect: high acceleration, snappy binds even at low speeds. Spin time is decent, I can get through most combos, but it’s not my longest spinning yoyo. The shape is stable, about middle on the float scale. Not a rock on a string, but you know it’s there. Good catch zone, I don’t have trouble hitting the string. Comfortable in the hand, easy on the catch.
And there’s just something about it that’s fun. Something about the combination of the shape and the d-bearing. Afaik it’s the only d-bearing titanium, at least recently. Though I’d love to hear about others that other folk know about.
