I’m not going to make a list. So many people have been helpful to me since I got here it has been wonderful. So many others have been generous and helpful to others, and that has been great too. I’ve only been here a couple months or so, so all these people that I’d list are exactly the people you’d all think. They are already on many lists.
There are 2 people who have joined more recently than I who I have noticed really work to be come part of the community and I think they are escaping notice by the folks who have been around a lot:
midlifeyoyoman - He and I are both in mid life (I assume) and are working the same tricks, and trying to buy the same yoyos (Tis in the B/S/T). I feel a bit of a kindred spirit there.
Snafu: new guy who has made 2 very generous offers to me with no expectations of anything in return. This act of kindness deserves some special recognition.
For everyone else, if you have been active in my threads, or I’ve been active in yours, than you are on my list. The community here is great. If I have bought a yoyo from you, than you are on my list. Every B/S/T purchase I have made here has been great. I have been made to feel welcome and invited to club meetings, and people have PMed me just to ask about my growing collection. It is a pretty great forum.
I’m also going to add a special bonus mention to TA, who not only shows great generosity of spirit in her community building, mentoring, and general interest in helping others, but has inspired me to act in kind. This kind of community pillar is rare, and her leadership by example is admirable.
