Everybody likes different types of music to listen to but I wanna know whats ur fav?
Mines the Killers
Not band but any music/OST from Studio Ghibli especially from Joe Hisaishi
I like to play full sets from https://boilerroom.tv/ bc it’s a constant beat. I like trying new sets I haven’t heard before as well as some old favorites but I like that they’re continuous and longer so I don’t have to stop or song changes bc that will mess w my flow. I also really enjoy playing to pre starboy the weeknd bc those songs are almost all slow jams but also hype and have a good confident energy. In general, I prefer hype music to keep my energy up while I Yoyo and older the weeknd works but is still slow for when I want to play more lethargically.
100gecs boiler room set FTW
Grateful Dead live shows
100% speedcore or hardcore like the destroyer, m1dy, or nasenbluten. highly recommend, just find the appropriate ones if u care about that :3
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard!
One of my favorite tracks, but I’ve been mostly listening to their live at Red Rocks ‘22 and ‘23 bootlegs
If I throw to music that is too upbeat, I find myself trying to go too fast and end up messing up more and losing my flow.
I usually prefer chill hip hop and electronic music. Here are some recent artists I’ve had on my playlist:
Ceephax Acid Crew
Aphex Twin
Tyler the Creator
Janelle Monae
Kendrick Lamar
Gorillaz
MF DOOM
Totally MF Doom, flowing and slacks for days, my favourite artist to yoyoing with!
oneohtrix point never is probably my favourite… makes my intermediate tricks feel cool i swear it helps with trick creation too.
Taylor Swift
Toadies or Viagra Boys. They have a lot of songs that have clean breaks at the 1 minute and 3 minute marks so they’re good for competitive timing
Depending on my mood, my music preferences for yoyoing changes a lot. Given I do all 5 styles it also changes within each.
Lately for 1A I’ve been vibing to a lot of witch house and hardwave.
Helps me think clearer and flow better with myself I feel
Depends, but my top three are Good Kid, Our Last Night, and Gorillaz.
On a KyoAni note I think Hare Hare Yukai would make a good prelim song:
Wow this is a throwback, I don’t think I’ve heard witch house mentioned since like 2010 along with seapunk.
no specific or particular groups, but i like a lot of hiphop and house music - west coast, om records, puts etc.
This is tough since there’s so many great bands to throw to. But if I have to single out one band as the very best to throw to, I’ll go with The Osmonds.
Oh my, didn’t expect to hear this band. Cool choice
