I’ve owned both and personally I love the Hitman Pro over the DV888. Wasn’t a big Dv888 fan…but that’s just me.
I loved my 2010 DV888, but I haven’t tried the '11, so I can’t comment on that.
But, if you want a metal, go for DV888. If not, you can try either one. It’s all about preference.
The Hitman Pro is 1.5 grams heavier, so if you like heavier, you can go for that. The DV888 is lighter, so if you like lighter, you can go with that.
Another thing is grinds. I’m sure the DV888 will grind better than the Hitman Pro, so, if grinds are part of your decision, well… You know.
So, it’s all preference.
basically if u want a bi metal go with the hitman pro
if u want a metal go with dv888, you wont be disapointed either way its all ur choice
if i would get one i say dv888 i dont like bi metals that much

Look, the best way to put it is preference.
Both play differently, everybody is going to have different opinions.
They’re both about the same price, but both will play differently.
I had a DV888, and I loved it, but I also like Bi-Metals of all kinds.
Go with your preferences on weight, feel, grindability, and looks (Gotta have 'em)
I line the hitman pro alot more it is so smooth
Didn’t finish my post the dv888 has suck a classic shape and is full metal and very smooth I wold personally choice is the dv888
