I just recently got a DV888 and a popstar and both of them tend to make a ringing noise as they spin. Could it be because they both have new concave bearings in them or do I just need to play with them a bit more to break them in??
That’s just the bearing. That’s normal.
I like a good ringing noise in certain throws. Avant Garde has a beautiful ring to it no matter what bearing I put in. Mind you, it also amplifies the sound of a bearing going bad (or just a naturally noisy bearing).
Oh ok, makes sense and I do not think the bearings are going bad, they are both brand new bearings, so I think they just need a break in period. I do not mind the ringing, but I was making sure it was normal.
