How are you going to machine w/o CAD?
I have people who work on CAD’s. The Mighty Turtle’s is finished. I’m waiting for the file and screenshots.
Just produced the Sketch for Checkmate.
The checkmate seems sketchy because the bigger you go the thinner the walls. In this case you could waste much aluminum.
There’s a reason it’s Premium. It would be a higher price.
Plus, Aluminum can be refined.
A basic butterfly shape.
And the other is a… Protostar rip off?
On the Checkmate specs it says 61mm wide? I hope it’s a typo?
ok so, that thing is MASSIVE. i dont think 4a yoyos are as big as the checkmate.
you do realize that that is bigger than most off string yoyos right?
Butterfly fits the design. Weight distribution isn’t basic.
The other is not a Protostar:
While I appreciate the comment, I don’t appreciate the trash.
I think you fail to forget that, sometimes, classic can be a REALLY good thing.
I kid you not. Oversized. I’ll make it a weight that’s reasonable.
But, I tried to make it a comfortable design.
However, I’ll probably go back and resize.
61 isn’t over sized, thats soup bowl sized.
The Big Yo was only 6mms wider, and made from plastic.
^^Check stats
It won’t be that thin. Lol he makes his really thin. I CAD’ed (officially a word) the Turtle for him and I beefed it up a lot more than his pic to make weight.
I wasn’t trashing anything.
I evaluated what you made, and fit it to what I best described it. They are both somewhat interesting designs. Both take from a common source and -dare I say- breathe new life into them?
But the Checkmate design resembles a Protostar to me. That’s all there is to it.
I’m sorry then. The way you posted suggested it in my eyes.
As am I, I could use a more upbeat tone sometimes.
Comrades?
Most definitely
metal off string anyone?
it might end up being one, with modifications.
As for this, I’m taking this design and resizing to a smaller size.
Delrin rims if you’re going to go the offstring route.
Metals designed for offstring aren’t usually HUGE sellers, as they are bound to be dropped repeatedly.
