*DTT Official Thread* DTTech Presents "The Mighty Turtle" and "Checkmate"!!

still love it

Resized smaller so that more can love it

awesome, your designs look promising, i like the interesting shapes going on. the turtle kinda reminds me of a onedrop but might i suggest making the ridges on the inner/gapside part of the cup smaller and closer togather? seems like it could make grinds smooth if done right but be a snagging ridge if made too large and deep. keep up the good work!

I see the concern, but those ridges are for weight distribution  They should be grind friendly, and I’ll let y’all know when I get protos made.

yes, please do let me know, i would love to help proto-test if your interested in getting peoples opinion.

I’ll be sure to let you know

Anyway, I took the liberty of actually taking the CAD’s and resizing to actual size. I then made them into the throw.

So, here is “The Mighty Turlte”:

for the CAD (Alternate views):

the gap looks a little small. like, my thin bearing equinox has about the same sized gap, and is probably the same diameter as the checkmate.

Already working on that.

He made the bearing small or something. The CAD I gave him has a C sized bearing (.187 inch) with a .175 inch gap.

Bearing’s the correct size. I tried connecting the 2 halves, and that’s what I got.

Here is the updated version of the CAD/Photoshop Model.

BTW, this is only part of this colorway

It’s going to be called Way of the Shell, and I plan on it being YYE only, that is, if Andre will allow me to sell here

Good news! For those of you who may want to know, I may have found a machinist! I’m hoping that their prices are reasonable, because, if they are, it’s proto time around Christmas!
