Dressing up the orphan

Received this recently and needed a rainy weekend project. So far, two coats of hand buffed tung oil. Brings out the nice grain of the red oak. And what is really clever is one of the eyes of the orphan is painted on the axle end so when it’s spinning you see this one eye looking at you. And if anyone can help I need to find some really thin cotton string for this.

WRT string, have you tried slick six string? I’ve had good results on fixed axle yoyos with the 50/50 cotton/poly mix.
