Also, when a bind kind of burns rubber at the end of the string so you feel it and know it’s going to be a tight/fine bind, but it’s just taking its time.
Conversely (I think), it’s so unsatisfying when the bind happens somehow halfway up the string and it comes back way earlier/faster than you want. Or worse when a bind consistently ends up with a weird knot tight to the bearing and you have to take the yoyo apart every time. That’s usually when I have to try a different (usually thinner) string on that throw.
