so i know a lot of good players are not sponsored. some make amazing videos and have some sweet tricks, but they don’t get out there too much. So i was thinking, what if someone made a video kinda like save death, but all unsponsored players who are good… or even mediocre. who cares.
so i was wondering if this would be a good project that would help the community, with help from the community. i would collect clips from you guys, and you can recommend your song, submit with your name, youtube account if you have one, profile etc. then make one big video maybe 20 minutes long.
or i could do a bunch of short ones, all showing off one style at a time. one is slack, one is techy, one is a lot of whips… i dont know.
so this is just a project that i have been thinking about. right now, it is nothing more, but i do what to get some feed back, so what do you guys think.
and right now, don’t go “oh i want to be in it, please please,” because right now, i am not accepting anything, and i dont even know how i can have clips from other people be transfered.
so does anyone think it would be a good idea? any ideas that may help? anyone know how i can get your clips as a usable way for imovie? or maybe after effects depending on how Xmas goes.

I brought this up a while back, I called it like a community yearbook, or video or something. Just once a year thing. It seemed cool but I realized with some peoples quality cameras and with their techniques, it wouldn’t really work. Plus the whole “my camera puts video out in .jkdnvaknrg files” issue. Then you have to get codecs, and it just becomes a hassle. If you still want to try I’m in. I can edit, and collect videos.
well that is one reason that i was thinking of breaking it up into styles or something.
or like save death, just have different music to each person.
and i have a good editor for advice, and i am trying to learn to edit myself… but if this becomes big, then i will need all the help i can get, and you have tried it so you do have experience.
and about the quality, i will be somewhat strict about that, and lighting. you have to be able to see what is going on at all times. no white strings on white shirts.
Heck, I honestly think you should say, ok, you have 1 2 minute clip. Upload it to youtube with your name and anything you want to be said in the video as your title. Face the sun with filming, and do what you want, it doesn’t have to be all yoyo just be sure you yoyo or we wont add you in.

Lol, and then just download their youtube clips so they can all be edited no issues. Hmm… I am thinking of doing this myself. lol

i want to do it for only unsponsored players, and i am either going to do it like save death, or i will do it all to one long song, kinda like a meet up video but there was no meet up.
cameron, you need to show me how to download files from youtube on a mac. i learn quickly on computers, but i forget even faster.
well, yeah that is kinda the idea…or at least face some light source, and make sure the string stands out.
Yeah, I still don’t get it, just because Macs have non integrated Graphics means they are made for Video? Thats just the only thing thats useful to a Mac when you have a high graphics card. Just make a PC for video editing.
Yeah i at least want to try this. better to try and to fail than to never try at all.
so if you have a bunch of clips, make a youtube video. you can edit them how ever you want if you want to be included in a certain way, but if you don’t care or are too lazy, then just make the video with all the clips you record. when you send me the link, send me your full name, yoyo(s) used, and a song that you want in your video.
and i was thinking of including an intro shot, where it is just you walking into the screen, or doing something non yoyo related, or just like re stringing the yoyo. something where i can put in your name. please 1-2 minutes.
