NO, DONT DO THAT.e just silicone it or get a k pad but DO NOT SHAVE DOWN ANYTHING. I use silicone, i cleaned and lubed my bearing, and my DM is COMPLETELY, and i mean COMPLETELY unresponsive
May I just say that the DM is a good yoy. All the way from intermediate to advanced I would go for it.
