Hey guys! So I’ve encountered a bit of a problem with organizing yoyos! I have some sub 50mm yoyos that need to fit into a hole in my case and it just isn’t happening.. Too much floating around, potentially dinging other yoyos.. You get the idea. That and I have a massive one (2022 Sasquatch) that needs to fit into a hole of some sort.
Now here’s my question.. I want to make a case. I have a container that would be perfect for the amount of yoyos that I’d like to house. Shopping for the right foam is.. one hell of a chore. Without buying and trying and wasting a ton of money, does anyone have one they’d recommend? Looking for the standard black/charcoal foam like they use in the YYS, FOV and FD50 cases. I just have no idea what they use.
Also, cutting them: does anyone recommend the right size metal can for a mini yoyo? (think size of the OD Dingo to the size of a Clique).
Thank you!

Okay so, I ran into this same issue very recently with my undersized onedrops, the solution I ended up going with was picking up some clear plastic round containers to fit ‘over’ the yoyo in the case slot like so:
The specific ones I’m using are (brand name removed):
Clear Extra Small Round Plastic Container, 2" W x 1.4375" H
Interior Dimensions: 2 x 2 x 1.4375 inches (width x depth x height)
Exterior Dimensions: 2.1875 x 2.1875 x 1.5 inches (width x depth x height)
they should fit <=50mm yoyos, sorry for not directly answering your question
That’s actually what I’ve been doing. But now since I’ve ran out of inserts and since I want to make a case anyway I might as well make a correctly cut hole.
I used that before on a case. Unless I didn’t grab the correct foam, it was messy and didn’t cut well. I’ve ripped cushions apart for cases as well just to see if they were similar, and found that the foam just isn’t what I’m looking for. Thank you though!
