Custom YoYo Case Making?

I wanted to ask a few questions to make sure I get the right help.

I saw people were able to make clean circle holes. How would I go about that? Was it a tomato paste can with soap and water?

If I take this foam out then it will expand a bit making the holes not perfectly circular.

Is the spacing good?

Thank you for anyone who can help me!!

yup, tomato paste can. beware though that undersize yoyos wonโ€™t fit (<53ish mm) so if you have a lot of littke guys youre gonna have to find a smaller stencil. just take the label off and clean the can and twist the cut end gently on the foam and it should slide right through.

to get the holes aligned in mine i traced the can outline on paper and just measured it out with the size of my foam. figure out how many you can fit with about a half-can-width of space in between each hole. i think in your picture the 4 across side might be too close together.

my case for reference

it looked like i couldve gotten it to be 5 across but they wouldve been really close together and i didnt want to risk my foam since the assembly was already pretty jank

Should I cut them smaller to be safe then?

You can also cut the foam circles you cut out as wedges to help wedge in smaller yoyos to the overside hole so they donโ€™t come out or rattle around. Itโ€™s not as pretty, but it makes the case more versatile, so that you donโ€™t have one spot for small yoyos.
